There will be BBQ’s on site for this event, so bring whatever you would like to eat. COBS Bread has donated buns for burgers and the Market on Millstream has contributed towards juice and pop. Both will be on a first come first serve basis.

Driveway Widening
By · CommentsCouncil is exploring whether there would be an aggregate/paving contractor willing to provide a reduced rate to individual owners, if there is interest from a large enough group of owners wishing to widen their driveway. Cats & Dogs
By · CommentsAs per Strata Bylaws, Part 5, section 2: All pets shall (cats and dogs) must be on a leash while on common property. D
og and cat owners must immediately clean up any excrement left by their pet and dispose of it in an appropriate manner. In no case shall pets feces be discarded over the side wall fences in the conservation areas or otherwise on the common property all pet feces disposed of in the garbage must be securely wrapped and tied in plastic.
Part 5, section 3: Should the strata council receive a written complaint about a permitted pet and after investigation determine, in their sole discretion, that the pet is nuisance, they many require that the pet be removed permanently from the strata corporation on FOURTEEN (14) DAYS written notice. Examples of behaviour that could result in removal are excessive noise, an owner consistently failing to clean up after their pets, pets causing damage to Strata and resident property, aggressive behaviour by the pet towards other residents of the development.

Parking within Strata
By · CommentsThis is a reminder that as per section 35 (5) of Strata Bylaws, owners must not use the visitor’s parking except for loading
and unloading and then for a period of not more than THIRTY (30) MINUTES. In no case shall owners use visitor’s parking for parking business or secondary vehicles. Only visitors may use visitor’s parking for longer periods and may only stay for a maximum of THREE (3) days without the written approval of the strata council. Owners with guests parking their vehicle for more than 3 days, must contact Strata Council via email at CitationVillage@gmail.com to obtain a Visitor’s Parking permit and register their guest’s vehicle. Vehicles parked in contravention of these bylaws may be towed at the owner’s expense.
As per section 35 (1) & (6) of Strata Bylaws, owners are reminded that sidewalks and roadways are to be used only as a means of ingress and egress for access to strata lots and common property and owners must ensure that such areas are kept free from obstruction at all times. Sidewalks and roadways throughout the Strata are considered part of the Strata’s fire lanes and vehicles parked on sidewalks or the road will be subject to towing without warning.

Sprinkler System Winterization
By · CommentsCouncil reminds all owners that owners will be responsible for ensuring their individual sprinkler system is properly winterized (blown out and shut off, to prevent potential damage from inclement weather). Owners will be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of not properly winterizing their individual sprinkler systems. Aqua Irrigation has been contracted by Council to winterize the common areas only around the Strata. Owners wishing to coordinate the winterization of their own units with when Aqua is on site (early November), can contact them at: 250 652-9293.
Do Not Rush to Flush – Sewage Waste Station Awareness
By · CommentsCouncil reminds owners that in order to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage of the Strata’s pumps at the sewage lift
station please refrain from flushing:
- Grease, which causes pump related problems very quickly – please dispose of grease properly in the garbage.
- Any products or packaging – most importantly from feminine hygiene product/applicators, hair or dental floss
- Kitty litter, cigarette butts, washing machine lint, plastic bags, rags or trash, baby wipes or diapers, clothing items
- Anything made of plastic or non-organic materials
- If you cannot eat it… It should not be flushed down the toilet or in the sink.

Sprinkler Reactivation
By · CommentsStrata Council will be having a contractor reactivate the sprinklers throughout the Strata, including turning on the shut-offs outside each individual unit. Owners who do not wish to have Council turn on their shut-offs, please advise Council by emailing CitationVillage@gmail.com or leaving a message on the Contact page, by May 31, 2010.
The contractor will only be turning on the sprinkler shut-offs, outside of each unit, owners will be responsible for their individual timer units.
The Capital Regional District Water Conservation Bylaw is now in effect. Lawn watering restrictions are as follows:
